Important details to note during this transition
For individual members:
- Individual members will be able to use the benefits of their EDS plan until their plan’s renewal date.
- Individual members will receive a non-renewal letter at least 60 days prior to their renewal date. The letter will contain additional information as well as alternative coverage options.
For group members:
- Employees will be able to use the benefits of their EDS plan until their plan’s renewal date.
- Members who have EDS through their employer may contact their employer for additional information.
For employers:
- Employers will receive non-renewal letters at least 60 days prior to their plan’s renewal date with additional information specific to their renewing group.
- Employers will continue to receive a monthly billing statement until their plan’s renewal date.
For providers:
- General dentist offices will continue to receive eligibility rosters, capitation summaries, and capitation payments until all business is terminated.
- Specialty offices should continue to see EDS members as usual until all business is terminated.
